DS-TX and other states data base on 0-3 Deaf hh children identified through the screening diagnosis parent education programming

Texas has three agencies that deal with birth to 3 deaf children. But they do not coordinate their efforts. Thus, its hard to track these children. We are working on a pilot study to determine what professionals know about this process. Dr. Laurene Simms (Gallaudet Univ) (part of their Early Childhood Education initiative) and I are working with Texas Education Agency on surveying 6 hospitals on how deaf and hard of hearing are handled during the beginning of this process--the screening process. Are there any links with the diagostic phase and the treatment/programs? What do these professionals know about these issues? (ENTs, Audiologists, technicians...etc.).
How can we set up a central tracking agency in TX for birth to three?
